My Hair Essentials

These are my hair essentials.

I have moderately long hair and I am trying to grow it out very long, so I have been using conditioners that hopefully will speed up my growing process.  I have also been taking vitamins for my hair and I hope that they work.

I have been taking these Hair, Skin, and Nails Gummies for a while now. I haven't noticed any drastic changes yet but I hope to see some soon.
I'm definitely not a doctor so if you are thinking about taking these you should probably check with a doctor to make sure it's okay.

I love this conditioner. It makes my hair so, so silky and it smells AMAZING

I got this spray while I was at Ulta. I was buying fake tan and they gave this to me as a gift. It makes my hair ridiculously smooth.

Also, my favorite leave in conditioner. I really love the Not Your Mothers line of products.

I find that I usually buy products based on smell? Does anyone else do that?

Hope you like this post!! :)

Workout Shoes

These are my favorite workout shoes EVER. I got these at the Nike Super Store in New York last year.

My favorite thing about them is definitely the color. I love wearing them with just all black workout clothes and then these are the pop of color.
I do realize that I am taking about planning out my gym outfits and that people think it is ridiculous and I do too at times.

They are very comfortable and I bought them in New York mostly because my feet really hurt. I forgot to bring tennis shoes so I went and bought these and I am so happy I did. They are really good for walking long distances because they are really supportive.
I also do go hiking quite often in these and they are really good for traction I think as well.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Comment below your favorite brand of workout shoe!

From My Bookshelf to Yours

Ever since I was little, I've had an obsession with books. Every few weeks I would go to the library and check out 20 or so books. I must have read 5 - 6 books a week. But, as I got older I began to neglect my reading and now I read next to nothing. One of my goals for 2015 was to read more so, I started it off by re-reading some of my favorites:

  1. The Book of Story Beginnings by Kristin Kladstrup
  2. Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
  3. Savvy by Ingrid Law
  4. Legend by Marie Lu
  5. Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata
  6. The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart
  7. Emmy and the Incredible Shrinking Rat by Lynne Jonell
  8. The Magic Thief by Sarah Prineas
  9. Every Soul a Star by Wendy Mass
  10. Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass
  11. Found by Margaret Peterson Haddix
  12. The Name of this Book is Secret by Pseudonymous Bosch
  13. The Book of Awesome by Neil Pratchett

And lastly a book that deserves an honorable mention:
The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott

Hope you all have had a good weekend! Happy Sunday!

Our Goals for 2015

We have so many goals for this blog in 2015. We love this blog so much and we just hope to spread our message and "inspire" and help people through our posts.

1. We hope to be consistent in our blog and get a schedule for posting and stick to it.
2. We hope to gain some sort of following.
3. We love this blog (it's pretty much our baby) and we hope to keep our passion for it alive.

Those are our simple goals for 2015. We kept them simple and made sure not be to extravagant with them because, in the end we are thankful for every single person who reads this blog and we really appreciate all of you!

We love all of you and thank you so much! <3 We hope everyone accomplishes the goals they set for themselves in 2015!

New Year, new you... right?

So this year I decided to set a few goals for myself.
- learn to finish projects all the way (no half-assing)
- make some money on my own
- to get this blog up and running
- to be positive

And everyone's favorite New Years resolution...
- to excerise and be healthier

As cliche as it is, with a new year comes the ability to better yourself and become a new you. I love the idea of being able to start over and have a fresh start. I hope that this year will bring lots of joy and positivity to everyone.

My Travel Style

Hi everyone! All day today I was just thinking about traveling and how I wish I was on a plane to somewhere beautiful. I don't know about anyone else, but I love watching videos on packing and travel style. It probably is just me, but I knew I wanted to put together my ideal traveling outfit.

The shirt is just a simple baseball tee shirt that is perfect for traveling and you can probably wear it more than once on your trip because it's so versatile. For the pants, it's really whatever you would like because this outfit would also look great with leggings but I prefer to wear jeans. I like the jeans because I favor the look you get when you pair a tee shirt with jeans opposed to leggings. Flip flops are my go to shoe for an airport. Some might say it's gross, (which it probably is), but it makes TSA so much less of a hassle because you can just slip your shoes right off.

In terms of accessories, I went for a scarf and a carry on bag. This carry on is a Cuyana carry on, very similar to the one I have. I LOVE this bag as I'm sure everyone already knows so I won't drone on about it, but I will include the link to that post at the bottom. Lastly is a scarf. I like to pack a scarf even if it's super hot out because I tend to get extremely cold on planes. They keep you warm and at the end of the flight you can either just wear it or stuff it in your bag.

Hope you all enjoyed this quick post!

Let's Talk About New Years

Happy (late) New Years! Oh New Years, so many things come with it, resolutions, diets and a whole bunch of new gym memberships. Just jokes, although all of these things are really cliche I'm definitely guilty of them.

This year I decided to make two resolutions, my stereotypical one and my inner beauty one. My cliche "everyone does it" resolution was to get in shape and try to eat healthier. Although, this new year I am trying to put as much focus on my inner beauty as my outer beauty.

My New Years resolution for this is very simple but effective. This year, I'm trying to do a lot more Random Acts of Kindness, whether that be as simple as holding the door open for someone, giving a homeless person a few dollars or just saying thank you and smiling more. It's not drastic but I hope this year I will spread a lot more joy by doing this :)

Comment below your New Years Resolution!

Summer Wishlist

I went on Polyvore the other day and I decided to put together an outfit. This outfit is summer themed because I think I'm craving the warm weather. It's freezing where we live!!!! My style (as I've said before) is very simple and I love jeans and a tee shirt. It's probably my favorite thing to wear and I would no doubt wear it everyday. I tend to not wear heels often because it's not always practical, but I am very short so I love that they give me extra height. I'm also not the best at walking in heels but I still think that these are to die for! I would definitely take the time and make sure I had the walking in them down first though. I think it looks casual but it's still polished. My love for Celine bags is really real. I just love how they look, and yes I'm not ashamed that I jumped on the bandwagon because everyone and their mother had them. :)
Comment below if you would live in jeans and tee shirts too!
I'll be posting a winter outfit I want in a few days! :)

Fragrances I'm Loving

Getting perfume for Christmas seems to be a little tradition that my family has started. Last year it was Marc Jacobs Daisy and this year it was a refill of my personal favorite, Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue.  As much as I love this tradition, I know perfume can be very pricey and that's something that holds a lot of people, including myself back from buying these fragrances.

I know that most people, (including myself), probably wouldn't drop this amount of many year round to keep my perfume supply full. Which is why I love getting less expensive perfume oils from the drugstore.

My older sister always used to use this Egyptian Goddess perfume from Whole Foods. I used to steal it all the time so she told me that I needed to buy my own. These perfumes smell so great and they're usually less than $15. The only down side I would say is that if you want a spray and not a roller ball, they're few and far between.

Perfumes are also very seasonal for me. I usually would go for something like Daisy in the summer months as opposed to the winter months. I would gravitate to my Light Blue in the winter because it's just has a warmer tone to it. Now I'm definitely not saying that I don't wear Daisy in the winter because I do. It's a very happy and floral scent that I love.

Comment down below your favorite perfumes! :) Do you like a warmer or more fruity scent?

My Favorite Things About Winter

The winter months are my favorite time of year. Where we live, it's never really that cold around this time of year but it's just cold enough to wrap yourself in a cozy blanket with a great book. I'd be lying if I said that reading is my favorite pass time. I would usually be on my phone grazing Instagram and Twitter, but that wouldn't have made a nice picture :). For me, candles complete the feeling of winter. A candle that smells like a cupcake makes everything feel warm in the room. This throw that everything is sitting on is a great color that goes with all of my decor. I don't love how it feels so it's definitely more decorative for me than anything. I've decided to get healthy in the new year and that's where this book comes in. I haven't read it yet but, I'd be happy to do a review for anyone who wants one when I finish it (leave a comment below) :).

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and we are wishing everyone a great New Year! Make 2015 great! :)

Welcome to Love M & O

Hello everyone and welcome to our blog! This blog was started by two girls with a passion for everything beauty, lifestyle and even some cooking. We are both obsessed with New York and hope to live there one day. On this blog we go by M & O, obviously we have real names, but for now we are keeping those private. :)

I am much less outgoing than M, but my passion is in everything hair and makeup. A goal of mine is to one day own salons that encompass my personality and style. Like M, I would like to one day travel the world and mostly Europe, especially Italy and France.

My New Bags

For Christmas this year, I asked for two bags that I had just fallen in love with. I am a very simplistic person when it comes to fashion. I would wear jeans and a tee shirt everywhere if it was acceptable. So when I found these Cuyana bags, I fell absolutely head over heels for them. The brand encompasses the mentality of "less is more". Coincidentally or maybe not so coincidentally, they're slogan is "Fewer, Better Things". Most of their products are simple leather goods that are made in San Francisco.

These bags can be pricey, but they're very substantial. All of the bags I bought came in a dust bag which to be honest is like my favorite part. These bags just feel like they will last a long time. I feel like a walking add for Cuyana right now, but I really just am so happy with my purchases.

The two bags I got were a leather tote, and an overnight bag. I feel like these bags just fit my style perfectly by being relaxed and simple.

Comment below if you have anything from Cuyana and your opinion of the products! :)
